Getting started
How do I add a habit?
Tap + on the Today screen. Pick a template (Drink water, Read, Walk, No smoking …) or type your own name, then choose the goal, the days and a reminder. You can change any of it later.
What kinds of goals can a habit have?
A simple yes/no check-off, a count (glasses, pages, push-ups), a duration with a focus timer, or a quit goal that counts the days you stayed away. Apple Health can fill steps, water, workouts, sleep and mindful minutes for you.
Can a habit be for certain days only?
Yes. A habit can repeat every day, on chosen weekdays, a number of times a week or every few days. Days it isn't planned don't count against your streak.
Which devices does Habiter run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS/iPadOS 18.0 or later, Mac, and Apple Watch (Watch check-ins need Pro). There is no Android or web version.
Streaks and history
How is a streak counted?
A streak is the number of planned days in a row you completed the habit. Days the habit isn't scheduled are skipped, not counted as misses.
Does my streak break if I haven't checked in yet today?
No. Today isn't missed until it is over, so your streak stays as it is until midnight.
I forgot to check a habit off yesterday. Can I fix it?
Yes. Open the habit and tap the day. On the free plan you can fill in the last 5 days; with Pro, any past day.
What is a streak freeze?
A Pro feature that lets you skip a planned day without losing your streak — for travel, illness or a rest day.
How much history can I see?
The free plan shows the last 16 weeks on the heatmap; Pro shows a full year. Nothing older is deleted either way.
Reminders, widgets and Apple Watch
How do reminders work?
Each habit can have a reminder at a time you pick (1 per habit on the free plan, several with Pro). Pro can also remind you when you arrive at a place, like the gym. Reminders skip days a habit is already done or not planned.
Are there widgets?
Yes. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show today's habits and streaks, and you can check habits off from them without opening the app.
Does Habiter have an Apple Watch app?
Yes. The Watch app shows today's habits and checks them off with one tap. Watch check-ins are part of Habiter Pro.
Can I use Siri or Shortcuts?
Yes. Habiter's actions are available in Siri and the Shortcuts app, so you can check a habit off by voice or from an automation.
Apple Health
What does Habiter do with Apple Health?
If you allow it, a habit can complete itself from Health data — reach your step goal and your walk is done. Water, workouts and mindful minutes can also be saved to Health. One habit can use this on the free plan, every habit with Pro.
Is my Health data sent anywhere?
No. Health data is read on your iPhone and is never sent to Habiter's developer or any third party.
Data, sync and privacy
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up. Habiter works as soon as you open it.
How do my habits sync between devices?
Through your own iCloud account. Every device signed in with the same Apple Account sees the same habits and history.
I got a new iPhone. Will my habits come with me?
Yes, as long as iCloud is on for Habiter. Sign in with the same Apple Account, install Habiter and your habits appear.
Does Habiter show ads or sell data?
No ads, ever, on any plan. Habiter collects anonymous usage statistics to improve the app and never sells data. Details are in the privacy policy.
Can I delete all my data?
Yes. Settings has a Delete all data option that removes your habits and history from the device and from iCloud.
Subscriptions
How do I cancel Habiter Pro?
On iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Habiter. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid renewal.
I paid but Pro isn't unlocked.
Open Settings in Habiter and tap Restore purchases while signed in with the Apple Account you paid with. If it still isn't unlocked, write to us with the date of purchase.
Is there a lifetime purchase?
Yes. Habiter Pro lifetime is a one-time purchase ($59.99 in the US) with no subscription.
