Brushing timer for iPhone
Two minutes, every corner, twice a day.
The Brush your teeth template starts with a morning and a bedtime brush, each with its own reminder. Tap play and a two-minute guide takes you round your mouth one corner at a time, then ticks the brush off for you.

How it works in Habiter
- 1
Morning and bedtime, ready
The habit starts with a brush at 8 am and another at 10:30 pm, each with a reminder. Move them, or add a midday brush.
- 2
A guided two minutes
Press play on the morning or bedtime card. A drawing of your teeth lights up the upper left, upper right, lower right and lower left in turn, with a short vibration at each change. The screen stays on while you brush.
- 3
Ticked when time is up
Reach the end and the brush is ticked with the time you brushed. Stop early with "Done", or skip the timer and just tap "Brushed".
- 4
Your average brush
The habit page shows your average brushing time over the last week and tells you whether it's on target or a little short.
Making it stick
- Keep the timer at two minutes
Two minutes, twice a day, is what dentists usually recommend. If yours says otherwise, the timer goes from one to four minutes.
- Start the timer first
Prop the phone by the sink and press play before the brush goes in; the corner changes set the pace.
- Make flossing its own habit
Habiter's Floss template is a simple daily check-off with a reminder at noon. Keep it next to brushing.
What you get for free
- Morning and bedtime reminders
- A guided timer from one to four minutes

Questions people ask
Is the brushing timer free?
Yes. The guided timer, the reminders and saving to Apple Health are all free, with no ads. The free plan keeps up to 5 habits.
Does it save to Apple Health?
Yes, if you turn on "Sync with Apple Health": each brush you tick is saved as toothbrushing, with the time you brushed. Undo a brush and it is removed from Health too. It doesn't use the free plan's one Apple Health habit.
Can I track flossing too?
Yes, with the separate Floss template: a daily check-off with a reminder at noon. The brushing routine itself has no flossing step.
